CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s is used in the reduction of musculoskeletal pain due to tissue injury, resolution of post surgery inflammation and oedema (swollen tissue with fluid). Musculoskeletal pain can be caused due to soft tissue (muscle, tendon, and ligaments) injury.
CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s is a combination of Diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. Diclofenac works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX), which causes pain and swelling. Paracetamol enhances the pain-relieving action of Diclofenac. Chlorzoxazone helps by blocking nerve impulses sent by the brain and causes relaxation of muscles.
Like all medicines, CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Most of the side effects of CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s are drowsiness, constipation, diarrhoea, stomach upset, slight discolouration of urine, and ringing or buzzing sounds in the ears. In case of any discomfort, speak with your doctor.
CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s can be taken with or after the meal. To avoid stomach upset CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s can be taken with food or milk. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Medicinal Benefits
- CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s is a combination of three medicines: Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone.
- Diclofenac works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX), a chemical messenger responsible for pain and inflammation at the site of injury.
- Paracetamol acts as a mild analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer), enhancing the pain-relieving effect of diclofenac.
- Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant that works by blocking nerve impulses or pain signals sent to the brain, leading to muscle relaxation.
How CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s Works
CDP-Zen Tablet 10’s is a fixed-dose combination of diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. Diclofenac reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting COX enzymes. Paracetamol provides additional pain relief and reduces fever. Chlorzoxazone helps relax muscles by blocking nerve impulses responsible for muscle spasms, thereby improving mobility and comfort.
